This backyard had a small covered patio and a lot of bare dirt. Grace Construction built a composite deck that adds a large, usable outdoor area — and will not ask for a weekend of staining every year.
An entry gate is the first thing visitors see. On this project our crew installed a wide wrought iron gate with a decorative scroll and medallion — a statement entrance that is also a serious security upgrade.
A gate built to a drawing and dropped into place rarely fits perfectly. That is why our crew brings the welder to the job and finishes each gate on site.
Not every gate needs to block the view. On this project an arched wrought iron double gate secures the driveway while keeping the property open, bright and easy to see from the house.
Almost everyone has fought a sagging wood gate — dragging on the concrete, a latch that no longer lines up. The steel-framed cedar gate on this project was built so that never happens.
This driveway gate combines three things homeowners usually have to choose between: the privacy of solid cedar, the strength of steel and the elegance of iron scrollwork.
A privacy fence is only as practical as its gates. On this project the owners needed to get a vehicle, trailer or mower through — so we built a double gate that almost disappears into the fence.
Most cedar fences are finished in a warm natural tone. On this job the owners went dark — and the result shows why a deep stain is becoming a favourite for modern homes.
A fence that looks right on day one and still looks right years later comes down to process. Here is how our crew took this cedar privacy fence from bare ground to finished run.
Side yards are where neighbours are closest and windows face each other. On this Grace Construction project we used board-on-board cedar, stained on install, so the side yard stays private from every angle.
