About Us
A Fence Company That Still Answers the Phone
Grace Construction is based on County Road 514 in Alvarado. We build fences, gates and outdoor living structures for homeowners, ranchers and businesses across North Texas — and we stand behind every one of them.
What we do, and why we do it this way
Grace Construction builds the things that sit between your house and your property line — cedar privacy fences, ornamental iron, custom drive gates, precast concrete walls, welded pipe ranch fence, decks, pergolas, pavilions, patio covers and outdoor kitchens.
We are based in Alvarado, in Johnson County, with a shop and yard on County Road 514 where we fabricate gates and ironwork. That location is not incidental. It puts most of Johnson County inside a twenty-minute drive and the rest of the DFW metroplex within comfortable reach, and it means when a customer calls about a storm-damaged section or a gate that has dropped, we are close enough to actually come and look at it.
The work you cannot see
Almost every fence we are called out to repair failed for the same handful of reasons: posts set too shallow, a thin plug of concrete instead of a full collar, ungalvanized fasteners, no third rail on a six-foot run, and green lumber stained before it was ready. None of those are visible on install day. All of them show up within three years.
Our whole approach is built around getting that hidden work right. We auger deeper than the minimum because Johnson and Ellis county blackland clay swells and shrinks hard enough to lift a shallow post. We set full concrete collars and crown them so water sheds away from the wood. We use hot-dipped galvanized and coated fasteners so you never get rust streaks bleeding down new pickets. And we wait the thirty to sixty days cedar needs before it will take stain properly, rather than spraying it on day one so the job looks finished sooner.
One crew, one contract, one person to call
We are not a lead broker. When you call, you speak to someone at Grace Construction, and the crew that measures your property is the crew that builds it. If your project involves a fence, a drive gate and a patio cover, that is one contract and one schedule — not three companies each waiting on the other.
Tear-out of the old fence, removal of old post concrete, haul-off of every scrap of debris, HOA submittals and city permits are all part of the job rather than line items that appear later. What you sign is what you pay.
Who we build for
Roughly speaking, three groups. Homeowners in Alvarado, Burleson, Cleburne, Joshua, Mansfield, Midlothian, Waxahachie, Crowley, Grandview and south Fort Worth who want a fence that will still look right in fifteen years. Ranch and acreage owners who need welded pipe, cross-fencing, cattle guards and entries that hold stock. And commercial clients, property managers, HOAs and general contractors who need bid-ready scopes, insurance certificates and work phased around a functioning site.
If you are somewhere in that range, we would like to give you a number. It costs nothing to find out.
How We Work
Four things we will not compromise on
We measure
Every quote comes from a tape on your property line — never a satellite image, never a guess over the phone.
We build it once
Depth, concrete, hardware and framing done properly the first time, because the second time is on us.
We stay reachable
One point of contact through the job, and someone who answers when you call afterwards.
We stand behind it
If something we built moves, sags or fails because of how we installed it, we come back and make it right.
The Process
